I feel that my life is over. The boomers along with the extremely loud exhaust pipes on trucks is making my life a living hell. I love the outdoors but have isolated for the past year. I can't go to a park, walk in the neighborhood...eat at a restaurant or even attend a funeral without this audio terrorism filtering through the walls. With my apologies to the deaf community, I'd have my eardrums taken out tomorrow if it were possible.
People tell me to ignore it but it's so pervasive that quiet is almost impossible to achieve anymore.
I know there has to be a place in the U.S. that is isolated from traffic noise but I have no idea. I took an early retirement as a photo/journalist and can support myself to a degree and live anywhere. With my elderly, neurotic Manx rescue cat of course.
I've considered suicide on an almost daily basis. I don't like being in the house. I want to be out in Nature but the stress level that these thugs cause in my life is something I can't overcome. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
I'm a 58 year old female. The Bear name ( my cat ) is on my Google account. My ideal situation would be to live with non smoking women my age who are in an area of solitude and could use a laid back roommate. I'm not nervous or uptight - very laid back except for having to deal with this noise. I'm not opposed to constructive noise. I could live at the end of an airport runway or next to a jackhammer testing facility. The noise I'm describing is destructive and those who perpetrate it know full well that they are annoying fellow human beings.
